Educational institutions at high risk of costly data breaches
Some authoritative studies estimate that, on average, organizations of all types face a 25% chance of a data breach involving thousands stolen records, and educational and university institutions are increasingly becoming a target. This means that one in four or possibly more schools will have at least one significant data breach. The thought of the future costs of implementing prevention tactics based on homomorphic cryptography can be a big burden for a budget that is often very small, however, the problem is very concrete and must be addressed by being prepared to face it.
